  1. Thank you for video go on Simon we waiting for more your amazing analysis..

  2. I love that Simon has been raving about early H pawn pushes for years now and its really in the forefront of top games

Edit: basically just reiterated the point made in the video, not as creative as I thought haha

  3. Isn't the Rh8 sac a rather standard tactic in positions with an open h file? To bring in the queen with check? Maybe usually without the fiancchettoed bishop but still confused that you emphasised twice that you never saw that.

  4. Go Harry, go. Vas-y Henri, cours. The H pawn is a winning pawn (even if this game is a draw and even if Kmoch saw that the A and H square only control one square when the others control two). Go Harry.

  5. Your clips on the London and black lion were the best in the game. They raised my rating about 500 points and I’ve taught them to all my friends, improving theirs as well. Since then you’ve put out nothing like them. Please do.

  6. Couldn't black fork the white queen on e3 and the white rook on e1 with … Nxg2 at any moment?

  7. Anyone know simons email please?
Iam in need of a help in chess because my national tournament is in a month incoming

  8. Magnus clearly has been watching the Ginger GM channel

  9. @ 11:00, is the Black queen on C4 not protecting the f7 pawn so that mating attack doesnt work?

  10. Just finished watching that round. I'm always like a day behind. I have to stay away from your Twitter for the short term for the risk of spoilers.

One more thing, Maurice Ashley was trying to convert the masses from Harry to Hannibal! Hopefully it doesn't catch on! 🙂

  11. I bought how to win tournaments. It's pretty good

  12. I can't upvote this enough. Amazing game, and crystal clear explanation. Few people can explain chess so clearly, for people who struggle with strings of rapid fire lines ( which I am sure is great for advanced players, but Simon has focused on teaching lower level players.)

  13. More double Ginger action. That was so much fun!!!

  14. And yes, I wanted to compensate for my shiteness at chess by using swanky words lol But always love your vids! x

  15. Simon brought me back to chess after 15 years of absence. I love his dee-ve-dees!

  16. Again a brilliant analysis, great explanation, carried by the love and the excitement for the game. And Harry did the job again. Maybe Harry could even undo the Brexit? Maybe Simon could ask him for us Europeans missing our British friends already

  17. sometimes you want to play the dutch, but play 1.d4 e6 then wait for 2.c4 before playing f5. what line are you avoiding by playing 1. …. e6 first?

  18. that was an amazing game, and Simon's analysis was amazing – so helpful to maximise the enjoyment of such a brilliant game. love mamedyarov's play in this, bringing on carlsen's full attack, managing to hold on, and even creating a very dangerous looking attack. like a chess version of rocky! thanks Simon. Great video.

  19. Just played a game where my opponent played the SNAGGLEPUSS DEFENCE! lol gotta lov chess hope u r ok Simon x

  20. I made a mistake once. Well, more than once. But i was under stress. So I made a mistake. Forigive and forget, yeah? Love you big Si x

  21. I don't see the purpose of having you saying "Magnus is the strongest player of all time" maybe it's a pure commercial statement so you can get more interest from today kids, but I think it was a bad idea regarding the rest of the chess community who are far away from being fans of Carlsen. Honestly I was a big fan of you until I heard this statement, and I even stopped watching the video. Just an advice, stop comparing world champions of different era it's always unfair.
