  1. 14:35 But after Rook to d4, cant the queen just take on d4? I mean if white takes the queen on d4 with the pawn then the Rook can just take on h6 and black is winning and queen cant take the rook on h8 cus the other queen is still on d4. So isnt this winning for black cus he would have a Rook and 3 pawns against 4 pawns?
Edit: Also even if after queen d4 the white queen goes g5 and then king like c8 and then white takes on d4, while its a queen against a rook, doesnt black still have a chance? (I mean hes playing Magnus so probably not but is it rly over?

  2. I was watching the gaming and remembering what Judit Polgar said about playing against Magnus: "It feels like drowning"

  3. Don’t know about that, some of his drunk games were great to.

  4. wow that was insane. even when he was winning position Magnus wasn't satisfied. he was gonna play it perfectly no mistakes. like he literally thought of everything it seems. he was prepared for anything his opponent could cook up. he already had an answer for it. great game

  5. they should frame this game cus its a work of art

  6. "yet it works, it all works" 😂😂😂 i like the vibe when he said this.

  7. Bro pulled out the ankle breaker at 5 minutes

  8. Everyone plays their immortal or best games against levon aronian

  9. Dude Levon is playing insane too ngllll cause Magnus has some crazy moves . Like unreal

  10. 16:41 "yea that's what Magnus did to his opponents when he was at the top of his game"

fast forward to 2022 and he's still ranked #1 by a margin as great as the margin between #2 and #16 and he literally gives up his world championship because he's bored of destroying everyone.

  11. And to think. This was not done by theory, but by pure intuition. You articulate the game extremely well and I think I will grow from this video, but I need to focus on my intuition, confidence and faith to get to the next level. I don’t believe he caught everything you mentioned when he was in the game. Great video!!!

  12. I think you asked for other Carlsen games you could review? Depends what you're looking for, but some suggestions you may already have done:
    – vs. Kranmik ('09) – dominant
    – vs. Anand ('13) – flawless under fire
    – vs. Ernst ('04) – World, meet Magnus
    – vs. Harestad ('03) – Norway has a new king

  13. Okay at the end game when you slide The rook over to d 4 check what would happen if the queen took the rook wood white then take the queen with the pawn then black could take the queen with the rook right and then isn't black up a rook or what would white do after the black queen takes the rook in the middle of the board if not taking the with the pawn and then broke into the queen right advantage black right am I retarded

  14. man i love your videos but your eyes are scary

  15. Breaking this game down so perfectly, is as impressive as the game play itself. Thanks Gotham.

  16. At 1:34 why couldn’t the knight take the pawn on d5 forming the queen and bishop

  17. 5:34 what if light bishop take knight d3 and dark bishop take pawn b4 and a5

  18. your videos mean a lot to me. (of course i really dont mean any pressure on you you've already done enough to inspire me to be a better chess player). Thanks man .

  19. Not sure if this comment will ever be seen since the video is so old, but I must be missing something (which is very possible, I consider myself only "decent" at chess if that). The move you are explaining at 14:34, I do not understand why he can't take the rook. If you take the white rook with the black queen and the pawn takes the queen, then the rook takes the white queen and is winning? If you don't take the black queen back then the rook is defended once again. As I said, there is a good possibility I am missing something. If you happen to read this, an explanation would be greatly appreciated (although I understand if you don't, because it would take a lot of typing)!

  20. Such a tatical game.. Magnus at his best and Levon looked like he played nearly perfect.
Also such a good analysis of the game.. you really break down games well Levy

  21. What is Bishop to H2 at 16:15.
Queen can't save check and the king is forced to take and the Queen is gone by rook!!

  22. Wish U'd refrain from your obnoxious Magnus adulation and just commented on the game. Cheers anyway.

  23. This game was more technical than masterful to me. Looks like another day at the office for Carlsen.

  24. Pshh, I would’ve won in 37 moves. Magnus took 47 moves. What a scrub.

  25. Hey Levy! Much love from India! Please add a game of Levon Aronian in this series!

  26. You don't take back. It's not checkers 😀🤣😅

  27. If Magnus really precalculated all this moves he truly is a f….genius!!!

  28. 14:40 why cant black play Qxd4? queen is still protecting the black rook (which is eyeing the white queen)

  29. My mind can't process this much information in one go 😔

  30. At 14:45 why cant black sac Queen then pawn takes Queen and black rock takes queen?

  31. Can so explain why black cant take in 14:45 After queen takes on d4, take with the pawn and then take the Queen back on h6 and win a rook

  32. Queen takes on d4. Something is wrong with your analysis

  33. Unstructured learning content. All bullshit. No one will ever get better watching these videos.
